Positive Mentoring

Investing time by making a commitment to mentor a young man is one of the greatest things you could ever do in life and your influence on them will last forever.

Ten reasons young men need a positive mentoring experience:

Come see what we're all about

Our young men have had to overcome a multitude of personal obstacles, challenges and temptations. Over the past few years I have observed our young men in various settings and concluded that they all could benefit from a positive mentoring experience.

A positive mentoring experience is one solution to meeting the needs of young men and combating the negative influences that confront them. So in order to provide solutions for the observations mentioned, I started Success is a Journey mentoring program and our mission is to build character, citizenship and leadership in the lives of our young men while empowering them to become leaders in their school and community.

Success is a Journey mentoring program well be funded 100% by funding and community contributions after a payment of $100.00 to join the program. After joining the program parents are asked to donate at a minimum $20.00 a month. Your donations will make the difference in the life of a child or young man who is seeking guidance and support. Donations to support program activities and service projects are also needed:

Service projects such as school supply drive, Coats for kids, Canned for Drive and Adopt-a-family for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

FOUNDER/CEO

Eric Samuels is an accomplished, military oriented U. S. Army National Guard First Sergeant. He retired with 28 years of progressively higher leadership and management experience. Prior to Success is a Journey mentoring program, he served in 4 combat tours serving with 101st Airborne division, 1st Cavalry (Long knife Brigade), 3rd Infantry division and Multi National Task Force Iraq. He held the following positions while serving: US Army Sniper for 17 years, squad leader, forward observer, BNCOC Instructor, Platoon Sergeant, G7 NCOIC and 1SG. He is a graduate of Kaplan University with a Degree in Criminal Justice and a graduate of Liberty University with a Degree in Religion.

He provided leadership and mentoring to young men between the ages of 12 to 19 years old in an all-male military boarding school environment. Responsible for overseeing barracks life and enforcing Academy rules and policies. Provide a safe learning environment, and a daily structure that provides a higher level of accountability and responsibility which enables young men to maximize their full potential. Part of what makes the relationship with my mentees possible is their first impression of me.
